I went to Jamieson with Marie. She was the best athlete and a really good person. Our girl gang would hang out in Marie's basement and listen to her favourite albums (always Elvis!). I would get picked on sometimes and Marie stood up for me. I am ashamed to say that in Gr8 I was not a good friend (I wrote her a mean note). This has haunted me all these years. I pray she forgave me. This seemingly minor incident has inspired me to always be a true and loyal friend.
I recently met Marie's daughter and am very happy to say that she is a sweet girl.
