Comments:

Graduated from Sinclair College 1965, worked as legal secretary in Dayton until birth of Doug in 1970. We moved to Canton, Ohio, where Jim bought his own business. My parents had retired and moved to Okeechobee, Fl, and the more we visited them, we knew we would eventually retire and move there. I started my own craft business, selling plant hangers to Penneys, Gold Circle, O'Neills, and Montgomery Ward. After the vicious winter weather of 1978, we decided why wait, and moved lock, stock and barrel to Okeechobee which at the time had only one red light. I went to work for Raulerson Hospital, an HCA facility, where I had a great career which I loved as their PR/Marketing Director until Jim and I both decided at the age of 60, to retire so we could enjoy traveling, hobbies, and our three grandchildren.

School Story:

I remember so many crazy times we had sneaking into the drive-in in the trunk, going to the Parkmoor, swimming at Miller's Grove. Our junior year I remember, we made decorations for the Junior Senior Prom at my house on Little York Road. My parents were gone for the day thinking I quess we couldn't get into trouble if they left my little brother there to 'watch' over us. The committee chose "Sharizod' as the theme I believe for the prom and decided to get a weather balloon from the airport, bring it to my house and paper mache it in our new garage which was to be a world which we would suspend from the gym ceiling. All went fine until the weight of the wet paper burst the balloon! Such a mess. Meanwhile we were trying to dye angel hair in the washing machine in the basement (who told us that was a good idea???). Ultimately that did not work but did clog the drain. I remember there were several cars in our driveway, one of which was an older large car driven by Joyce Larsen. When things got out of hand and it was obvious I was to be in big trouble, she backed out of the driveway and hit Gary Durst's brand new red Mustang which was parked in the ditch in front of the house!
