Richard, also known as Ricky or Richie, was an expert carpenter with design vision, and when warranted he could make it an art form. After his family and friends, he loved playing golf and of course the 19th hole, but most of all he loved being a “Grumpy” to his two grandsons.
He was the pinnacle of giving unconditional love. He led with heart and meticulous care in all he did. He was full of life, always the first to lend a hand or lift one to say Cheers. A champion of family, honor and strength, a rock we all depended on. With playful intent he jabbed with jest and hugged with heart.
Forever the greatest husband, father, Grumpy, brother, uncle, and friend. Cheers!
Richard leaves behind his wife Karen, his son Shane and daughter-in-law Brittany, as well as his grandsons Weston and Christopher.
Sister, Donna (Dan), nieces, Lauri, and Adria, great-nieces, Leah, Julia, and Dylan.
Sister-In-Law, Joy, nephew, Jason, niece, Kristen.
Preceded in death, brother Steven (Larry) and parents, Edythe and Harry.
A Celebration of Life will take place in January 2026.
