Last time I saw Bruce was when we all lived in the complex near MJC. Bruce lived with Kalbfleisch and Horton, Virgie and I were roommates. Those were some good times back then.....Rest In Peace Bruce.

Bruce and I became close friends on the school bus ride to and from North Port- plus I think we may have had some advanced classes where he and Chip Finzer would gang up on me and my liberal views. We kept running into each other after school when we moved to Sarasdota to find jobs and roomed together in a huge house near the Ringling Museum and art schoo for a while in the 70s. We liked the same music and he turned me onto some progressive jazz that was pretty cool in the days of "Heavy Metal Thunder' and all the rock concerts we attended. I knew Sue Banner before he married her and my best friend Jason pretty much was there for him during some of the rough spots from graduation until he moved to North Carolina. He was always concerned about his weight and finally started slimming down with the white diet- you can't eat anything like bread or potatos- basically white starches and carbohydrates. So Jason and I would piss him off by asking if he could take aspirin or baking soda. But overall Bruce was a good guy with a good heart and I'll miss him...
