Worked at GTE (General Telephone and Electronics) from 1967 to retirement in 1999. Served as volunteer President of Laurel Civic Association from 1988 to 1999. Executive Director of Laurel Civic Association Inc 1999 to 2019. Executive Director Emeritus 2019 to present.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Incorporated Laurel Civic Association - 1989
• Brought over 5,000,000 dollars into low-income, predominantly Black neighborhood in the form of new roads, improved drainage, sidewalks, new community center, rehabilitation of housing and new affordable housing.
• Received Cultural Diversity Scholarship to attend National Trust for Historic Preservation Conference – 1993
