SPRING HILL, FLA. >> Brian H. McKay, 69, formerly of Sherrill, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 6, 2017 in Spring Hill, Fla. 

He was born in Utica, N.Y., son of the late Howard and Gladys (Holt) McKay. Brian had previously been employed by the U.S. Postal Service, and Vernon Downs Racetrack. He was a graduate of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central School and a U.S. Army veteran. 

He is survived by his sister Carole and her husband, Richard Slavinski; nephew, Rick and wife Judy Slavinski; niece, Kathleen and husband Ralph Tobin and family.
