Ron and I joined the Air Force together on the buddie plan, but he didn't pass the physical and had to have a hernia operation. I went on in and kept incontact with him. Ron made the Air Force a career and retired in Corpus Christi where he worked at the Navel Air Station. One day I received a call that he died of a heart attack at work. He left his wife, whom he married on a tour to Japan and his only son. Ron always kept in touch with me and I miss his calls.
