Mary Ann Johnson (Null)

Betty - I was at a conference and missed wishing you a Happy Birthday on the 10th - so I'm doing it now. I hope this is a wonderful year for you!

Mary Ann - Gee... I didn't know that cows knew how to ice skate!

Mary Ann, you don't know how true your statement is. We are really sick of the cold and snow. We haven't had any new accumulation but we haven't lost any of the alreay acquired. We usually don't thaw because it never warms up long enough to do any good. Like I've said it's pretty amazing when you say "OH yea! It's suppose to warm up to 0". Happy Days, send the kiddies outside...
Johnny I think your right about Doody Balls fitting in. There sure were some unconventional characters who lived a lot differently than we were use to. But I guess they did that out of necessity. Happy Valentines Day to you all. OH my it's 5 above I think we'll have a bar-b-que. Have a great day.

Paul, their skating isn't bad, but they darn sure don't know how to swim.

Jan - The conference that I went to this week, had a speaker from Minnesota - she commented on the fact that we close schools for such insignificant amounts of snow and that our schools don't let the kids out for recess if it is below 32 degrees! I think she said if it was above 0 the kids in Minnesota go out for recess. But if we have anymore inside recess days, the teachers may vote to put the little darlings out anyway.

Jan - I can see a new vocation just waiting for your expertise.......cow swimming instructor .....

Carla Ray Williams (Yocum)

As you have heard by now Dallas got 12.5 inches of snow! They canceled all flights in and out of DFW! They are calling it the storm of the century! We closed schools for two days and everyone went out and built snowmen and forts! It looked beautiful but no one here knows how to get around in it and it is dangerous to go out!
Thanks to all of you who e=mailed info on David! Due to the weather we could not get out to attend his services.

Jan,

I haven't look much til the past few weeks online but must admit. I know now where Doodyballs came from... Montana or Texas.

Did you hear that Oklahoma was going to have the largest Zoo in the World??

Hey, All we have to do is fence Texas......

Carla Ray Williams (Yocum)

Jan...are you saying people who live in Texas are animals?? I have you know Texas is a great place to live!
The pictures of Quaid are precious! Does he live close to you?

02/17/10 05:48 PM #1255

Paul Ray Wever

Carla - not all the good people of Texas are animals... just the aggies...

Jan - the weather here is enough to make YOU sick.... it 71 degrees and sunny

02/17/10 08:40 PM #1256

Janis Ann (Jan) Dirickson (Marshall)

Whoa Carla you better re-read the forum, I didn't say anything about Texas. Here in MT we just pick on North Dakota. Thanks, we think Quaid is pretty cute too (a stinker but cute) We actually are going to get to see him this weekend. Brad our youngest is picking up the NRA Finals in Billings. So Brett the oldest is bringing horses for Brad, it takes a lot of horses to be a pick-up man. Especially in the winter time, it's so hard to keep them legged up. Today we actaully hit 34 above, it was wonderful. I only had to wear a sweatshirt to be outside not the entire closet.

Afraid you would have to add Longhorns to the Aggies for Oklahoma's Zoo.

Really both Texas and Montana sounds like a good place to visit. Must admit never did think much about Montana but after the heart attack and being online and checking the 69 site Jan makes the place sound very interesting....

Jan, Do they have Bear there?

All- Am I the only one watching the Olympics? I know that Big Dick and Dean are glued to the tube watching the mens figure skating. Aren't those costumes FAB? It takes a REAL man to do a triple threlkow with a 2 and 1/2 twist in the tuck position. I can't wait til the ice dancing.

Well, I guess you guys all heard about our little plane crash here in Austin? Fortunately, on the other side of town from us, but only a few blocks from my sister Martha's company. The first photos I saw showed the black glass windows which her building has and I kinda freaked, but checked the address set me at ease. I was coming off the GC to hear the news.

Bruce,

It scares you as when the OK City bombing took place my nephew only a few blocks away. Glad to hear Martha OK. Doesn't it seem strange you & her both in Austin.

That is a long ways from Vinita OK. How is she?

Bruce - Thank God you and the family are ok! Random things like that are so difficult to comprehend.

Well it was another "you do what you have to do" day on the farm.

We had a water leak on a hydrant in a pasture. After digging off and on for a couple of days, Dean got to the point he wanted to call for a backhoe, so I got with it and finished digging it out and found the leak in a connection to the hydrant. Nice thing about it, the repair cost around $10, otherwise we were looking at several hundred if we called the plumber. I just had an outside house faucet repaired on Tuesday and for barely an hours work was charged $145. I'm still scratching my head over that charge!

At least it was a nice day to be out. Just a little peak of sun at one point, but at least it was warm enough to go without a coat.

Johnny-Bill is from Bartlesville! He only came to Texas to go to his last two years of college! I met him at NEO!

Paul-Thank you for trusting my judgement! My husband is a great guy! We are predicted to get more snow tonight! Please think of us when you are all warm and sunny!

Steve-Bill is watching the Olympics!! I watch some in between my soaps! I can only watch them at night! How about that Hockey Game!!! My husband loves sports so much he would watch a turtle race!! He doesn't complain about my soaps and I let him watch all the sports he wants!

Judy- Do you hire out??? Ha! I loved those pictures you sent! Bill and I were laughing so hard we were crying!
