THANKS MARY ANN FOR YOUR POST YOU MADE ME LAUGH AND I NEED A GOOD CHUCKLE RIGHT NOW. I COULD JUST PICTURE YOU DOING THAT TOO.

I USED TO BE AFRAID OF DYING (NOT THAT I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE I WAS GOING) BUT OF ACTUALLY TAKING MY LAST BREATH. BUT I'M NOT ANYMORE SINCE MY SISTER PASSED. WHEN MY TIME COMES I WILL BE EXCITED BECAUSE I WILL BE ABLE TO SPEND ETERNITY WITH HER AND WE WILL NEVER BE SEPERATED AGAIN.

It looks like OSU needs to get out there Dick and Jane readers and learn how to play football....again...

Carla - I was really hoping that you didn't know how to put air in your tires because I knew that Judy and Jan could do that and probably rebuild the entire motor in a pinch!  I usually do things with my grandkids in age groups, there are 3 grade school girls, 3 pre-k and k boys and the others are younger.  That way, we can do activities that they enjoy.

Wait a min - I miscounted.  I have 11 and one on the way, plus 2 are adopted and grown( one of those is married and had a one year old here too).  So there are 14, but 2 of them weren't running through the house with plastic rifles.

The older 2 adopted girls came into my family when my oldest daughter and her husband were about 26 years old.  The funny thing is, their birth certificates were changed at adoption and now say her parents were Stepanie and Jeff - they were 13 and 14 years old at the time of the girls birth and Jeff was in Montana and Stephanie was here.  I tease him about making stops by here when his parents were on vacation.  Of course Jan knows Montana people never really take vacations!

Judy - If I posted a picture of myself with 14 grandkids (as you suggested), do you think it would scare off any potential male suitors?

Mary Ann,  your humor seems to get better with age!  You always make me laugh!  I do hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving as we did.  My daughter and her 2 were here last week and seemed to run the entire time.  I have a large hallway that they use as a runway.  The rest of the house looked as if they crashed several times.  I dont' think I could survive 14 at the same time!

Mary Ann - Drop by anytime and I will give you a crash course on inflating tires.  We have an air compressor at the barn and I won't charge you 75 cents!   The farm couldn't exist without the compressor!  In the past when I was having a flat, I would fill the tire with air and drive to town real fast to get it fixed, so I didn't have to change it myself.  Now if the occasion arises I just have Dean take care of it!

Mary Ann-you really should become a writer!  You make us all laugh with your stories!

Do you remember my Mustang?  Well...I did not know about putting gas in cars! I was at the DQ when I ran out of gas and called AAA to come tow my car!  Imagine my surprise when they told me that it was not broken down, it just needed gas!  I did not know where the gas tank was!!!  Reba Cheek was with me and she did not know either!  My daddy has never let me forget that!  Thank goodness they had full service stations in those days!!  Bill put gas in my car for years!  I had to learn eventually...but it was a number of years before i did!  The first thing he did when our daughter got her first car was to teach her how to put in gas, change a flat and put air in the tires!

Paul-the OSU boys lost a game they should have won!  I am an OU fan...but I felt sorry for them!

Saw on Facebook:

An OSU player and a UT player were sitting at a bar.  The UT player asks the Okie what OSU stands for?  The OSU player replied, "Oklahoma Stomped Us."  The Okie then ask the Texan what UT means? The Texan replied, "Us Too."

Judy...I loved the joke!

Steve...Is Sharon losing it again???  Nikki and Victor are driving me crazy!!! I read where he is off having some surgery and will be back in a couple of weeks!  Thank goodness Murphy is back to normal!  I love him!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  I feel like we are so lucky and have so much to be thankful for!

I am now trying to get my big tree and six small ones decorated!  I have tonight with my 14 month old grandson while everyone else is at the game between Coppell and Trinity playoff game.  My daughter teaches at Coppell!  Tomorrow Bill will go to another playoff game somewhere and I will get to use the time to decorate and finish my Christmas shopping!!

Carla - loved your car story!  I think I have shared this, but the first time I ever put gas in my car was around 1972.  Lynnda was with me and we both got out to pump the gas - she read the directions to me and monitored  the pump, while I guided and controlled the nozzle!  We couldn't quit lauging the whole time. I  remember gas being around 25 cents a gallon in the days I was cruising Main.

Steve - Guess what I did tonight - other than pump my own gas - I ate Dink's onion strings for the first time, and only because you suggested it.  You are right, they are wonderful and I just couldn't stop.   I could be in the early stages of addiction!

Sorry if there are any typos on this.  I can't see Jack (or Jill, for that matter).  I went to the optometrist today and got a temporary pair of contacts and didn't know that I couldn't read in them- until I tried this.

Lavanna- So sorry to hear about your sister.  My prayers are with you.

Carla-  Sharon has completely lost it.  Murphy is my kind of man.

Everyone Else-  Enough already with the OSU jokes.  This was a rebuilding year for us.

Two days after Christmas and I think I'll live, wasn't so sure yesterday. This was the first time all the kids and families were together for Christmas and 3 of us came down with the stomach flu. Not sure how many will fall to the nasty bug. Other than being sick, the 25th started out as a wonderful day. Everyone spent too much, but it's always worth it when you see the smiles and wonder on everyone's faces after Santa has been here. Quaid was a delight  a typical 2 1/2 yr old who lived up to what we expected. Dram-pa and Dram-ma were wrapped a little tighter around that tiny but powerful little finger. Hope everyone had as nice a day as we did, minus the flu of course. Just found out 2 more succumbed to the bug.

Happy New Year! At midnight it was -32 in Hinsdale, it's a balmy -26 right now. WE drove to Glendive (190 m) for a wedding at 6, left at 9 and got home in time to bring in 2011 with one drink with friends at the only bar in town. There were 8 of us. Having friends (not the bar crowd) over for stew and cards this afternoon. Lots of crib and whist played in the  north. I hope everyone had a nice evening and were with someone they liked/loved: even if you were with just with yourself. If you know how to play whist come on over, if not we'll teach ya. Jan
