Tommy, thank you. Your son Dodd and I shared a fun experience several weeks ago. We both volunteered to serve as Principal for Day at one of the schools in Walterboro. Dodd is a wonderful young man, I know you are proud of him. You should see my mother, she is amazing, still walking every day and always happy and caring about all around her! She will be 90 in September.
As for Perry and Earle, I can see them duck hunting together once again.

I'm really sorry to hear about Perry. He was always very kind to my sisters and myself when we were children.

It seems as we mature more that we spend too much time talking about death. Is this a sign of old age? Lets all fight it to the bitter end. I was so very sorry to hear about Perry also. He was a great person to me in my younger years and I always loved Marilyn and Johnnie. I have a job that sometimes entails working with bereaved families and it is very difficult.
The Spring Fling sounds great. My thanks to Paul.
The Super Bowl is over. Was anyone surprized? I am more of a college football person but I was happy for the Saints. I just like Manning better.
Debbie, thanks for the info on Delane and her mom. I will call and try to get by there soon.
Everyone--can't wait to see you in May. Remember--I can't dance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pam, Sounds like we all need to meet up for dance lessons before the "Fling". I think it's the electric slide. I am trying to make it possible to attend-----Yes, my old mare was well taken care of, spolied, loved & missed terribly. I still have her stablemate who is now getting double treats & attention, it just isn't the same.

Hello all. If you Florida people read anything about a fool at Disney World over the Easter weekend just say "I know her". Finally, after all these years, I AM GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!! My good friends Gwen and Terry Bunton are letting me go with them--and their two sons and their two wives and their four children. I plan to enjoy everything there!!!!!!!!!!!

Just changed my address on profile so you all will know how to contact me via snail mail if necessary...sold my house and now homeless. Renting a room until I can find another place that is small and no yard to take care of! You single people know what I mean! Hope that I can make it 8 May...! See you all there! Better practice up on my dancing if my arthritis allows..

May 8th will be a lot of fun and I hope we have lots of classmates attending. I will not know until the very last minute if I will be able to attend, but I hope I can at least stop by.  Walterboro looks great, the Rice Festival was fun and the Antiques and Arts Festival will be May 15th.  When you are in town remember to stop by Hiotts Pharmacy for a fountain cherry coke and visit the SC Artisan Center if you have not been.  Hope to see you all next weekend.  Take care, Alta Mae

Here is hoping, also, that you all enjoy the "Spring Fling". I can't make it down this trip. Wish I could.

Wow! We had such a great time last night. It was wonderful to see so many friends, including several for the first time in 41 years! We had over 30 classmates here. I'll bet most classes can't muster that many for a major milestone year. Thank you, Paul, Danny, Ralph, and all of the others who made this possible. I can't wait until next year's beach party.

Sounds like you guys had a ball.  We couldn't get away, so we had to pass.  Hope you post the pictures soon so I can imagine I was there at least.

I thought about all you lucky folks getting together last Saturday night. I'm sure you all had a great time. Post some photos soon. The beach sounds great for next year...can it be held later in May? I'd hate to miss this again. It's hard on the heart to miss these reunions.

Thanks so much, Danny, for the Emails with all the pictures!! It was fun to look at them, even the fuzzy ones (LOL). Looks like everyone was having a great time. Wish I could have made it.

Thank you so much, Paul, Danny, Ralph, and all others who gave of themselves in any way to put on the Spring Fling and get our class together.  My, what a sight for sore eyes; it was so good to see all of you again.  Although our time was brief that night, I look forward to the next time -- next year, is that right?

Some of you shared with me that night some of your joys and some of the hard knocks that you've weathered.  Your smiles lit up the place and you welcomed me from the minute I walked in, though.  I was lucky to have shared so many of my years growing up with you, and then to have been able to spend even the briefest of moments that night with you again was such a treasure to me.  Thanks for being who you are -- you make me glad to be a part of the Class of '69.

The pictures from the Spring Fling look like it was another fun event for the precious class of '69.  I think about you all often and wish it possible to get together more.  Thanks to those of you who are able to pull these things together.

I heard from Jennifer Boynton this morning that she and some other marine biologists from SC are going to the gulf to help with the oil clean up.  If you're a praying person, please pray for Jennifer and her team.  This is dangerous and very heartbreaking work.

Lila Pinckney (Park)

I heard from Jenifer this morning about the clean up effort in the Gulf.  She has been tasked with designing a clean-up system for the salt marsh, "adapting current soil/groundwater remediation methodologies to fit a salt marsh environment".  It can only be done by hand which is painfully slow, tedious, and to quote Jennifer, "soul destroying" work.  Please wish her and her team well.  I very much appreciate what she is doing and expect that many of you feel the same.

I agree with Ralph.  Everybody be safe for the 4th and remember if you are in Colleton County and dial 911 you may get me--so be real careful.  LOL to all!
