Kent died in 2009.  He had been living in Southfield, Michigan.  Kent earned his M.B.A. degree from the University of Detroit and his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Livingstone College.  His occupational history included being a pharmaceutical chemist, Xerox chemist, automotive engineer, manufacturing supervisor, laboratory supervisor, and department manager.  Kent's memories of Coolidge included the challenging Physics tests of Mr. Himes, the interesting Social Studies class of Miss Weiner, and the disciplined football practices of Coach Kirk.  His message to upcoming CCHS graduates was as follows:  "Select career objectives, identify the steps to achieve those objectives, and never give up."
