I would like to publicly thank Linda Jacovino for her dedication to Wilby High and its alumni. My name is Richard Kruse.  My father, Dick Kruse, attended Wilby from Fall 1936 to 1940.  My mother, Mary Elizabeth(Betty) Gonya, graduated from Wilby in June 1941.  Our family moved to California in 1959.  Thanks to Linda, I was able to purchase a memorial brick for my father who died in 1983. I also purchased a brick for my mother.  Last week I went to CT for a vacation.  I wanted to go to Wilby and see how the courtyard of memorial bricks is taking shape.  Linda agreed to meet me at Wilby on a school day so this visit could take place.  I think the memorial courtyard is a wonderful idea and would urge alums to purchase a brick for themselves or buy one in honor of a relative or loved one who attended Wilby.   Thank you Linda for all your help.  Wilby is lucky to have you.
