I'd like to share six excerpts from readers...
(1)
“...hands down one of the most original and interesting books (collection of novella/novelettes) I’ve read in a long time!... Fitzell’s writing (is) highly literary and at times deeply profound... Unpredictable and with near flawless editing (and cool formatting)... there is a raw grittiness there that was quite appealing.”--Charlie Vasquez (Goodreads)
(2)
:... Each story was riveting, highly imaginative... Fitzell’s word choice… unique and powerful… extremely literary and the narrative prose is some of the most lyrical and lovely I’ve read in some time….”—Claire Middleton (Gooddreads)
(3)
“...I like Mr. Fitzell’s edgy and dark writing style very much, and found myself completely lost in his unique worlds and (at times bizarre) characters.. I was almost disappointed when I was finished because I wanted to read more.”—Jenna Brewster (Goodreads)
(4)
“...I felt an almost immediate interest to not only the characters but with the way Philip Fitzell was writing them, and I found myself just wanting to read more… and more… and more... . I was surprised by the amount of emotion and investment that Fitzell manages to pull from the reader in just a few pages. Sign of a gifted writer there.”—Gillian Hancock (Goodreads)
(5)
“Haunting and engrossing.... I was sad to finish it so quickly, but I didn’t want to stop reading once I started! And I found each story length to be perfect to take in smaller doses... (The book) reveals different aspects of humanity and unusual characters, but is also very relatable for being so ‘out there.’”—Laura Clarke (Goodreads)

“...Totally not what I normally read at all, (haven’t read anything like this since college lit class) but I’m glad to have stepped outside my normal genres for a change. What these stories lack in action or adventure they more than make up for in emotional punches, bizarre twists, shocking events, and unpredictable... almost creepy characters... … I liked how the stories were a bit dark without being too outlandish or depressing. Just gritty… real.”—Stacy Decker (Goodreads)
