Living in BC Canada. Received my Permanent Resident status in 2017. Presently employed with Comos Valley SD71, Indigenous Education Dept., Courtenay, BC BCIT First Nations Department.
Became involved in the Healing Arts since 1987-88 to present day using from a variety of massage techniques from Myo-Nuero Fibril massage Tui-Na(Chinese Acupressure) both levels of Upledger’s Cranial Sacral, Deep Tissue Emotional Release therapy, Sports Massage and Reiki(Reiki Master)
Graduated from Western Illinois University BS EL ED. in Macomb,IL 1981 Classroom Teacher (Middle School grades) Taught school in Montana (Fort Peck Indian Reservation Assiniboine Sioux 1981-85. Navajo Indian Reservation, Tsaile Elementary1998-99, Bilingual Integrated 4th grade classroom teacher at West Elementary 1985-88 and Middle School grades 6-8 at Daniel Webster 1996-97 in Waukegan.
Have been heavily and deeply involved in the Lakota/Dakota Sioux Nation spiritual way of Life and ceremonies for over 40 years participating in sacred ceremonies such as the purification rituals fasting and the Sundance singing drumming language and powwow dancing. I am also one of many thousand Canupa/Sacred Pipe carriers for the Lakota/Dakota Nation.
The last past five or so years I have been learning my own Indigenous Borikén/Puerto Rico Boricua Taíno culture language traditions customs songs and ceremonies.
In 1992 I took part in the Peace&DignityJourneys run from Tok, AK to Mexico commemorating 500 years of survival of the Indigenous People’s of the Americas. I participated in several marathons including Chicago, Milwaukee, WI, New York City Marathon from 1982-88. Studied and practice meditation and yoga since 1974. Within the past eight years I been an active participant practicing medical Qigong Yang style Taichi and Water Style Taichi and presently learning the Wuji Internal Style form online from Vancouver, BC
I have traveled to Australia and New Zealand performing as a traditional cultural singer exchanging cultural experiences and knowledge with both the Aborigines of Australia and The Maori of Aotearoa/New Zealand. I also spent time from 1990-95 traveling to and from the Amazonian River Basin of Perú studying sacred herbal medicines and plants specifically La Ayahuasca and I also was a translator for a groups of people from all walks from within the US. Presently I live in Courtenay, BC located on Vancouver island.
