Jeff Berger

Left Wausau about two months after graduation and attended DeVry Insitute of Technology in the Chicago suburbs. You remember the commercials during the Bozo show on WGN. :-) During school I worked at Sears Tele-Catalog (I know, it keeps getting better). I met my wife there. She was actually my trainer. A couple of months before I graduated from DeVry I got a job at Motorola in Schaumburg, IL. I worked as a computer networking guy. I worked there for about 8 years and eventually was managing about 10 people.

I got married in 1995 and in 1998 we had our one and only daughter. She is now 10 and she is a diva that's for sure, kind of like her mom. We love traveling and just hangin out. If we could live in the Caribbean we would. We are pretty sick of the Chicago winters. Our hopes are to move to Arizona at some point in time. We'll see how that goes.

In 1999 I left Motorola and joined Cisco Systems. It's the company that makes all the hardware equipment for the Internet. I worked as a Systems Engineer which means I sell equipment to customers in the Chicago area for about 4 years and then moved into management. Now, I manage 6 people and so far, it's been a great job. We'll see how things prove out in the future.

I am really looking forward to seeing everybody at the reunion. It should be a great time.

I will always remember Mr. Montgomery from our marketing class. He was the funniest guy and so fun to be around. We used to go to Taco Bell and get a 10-pack of taco's and bring them back to Mont's class. We would give him some lame excuse as to why we couldn't eat it in the commons and of course, he would accept it.

Mr. Rocheleau from math class. I hated math but at least he made it fun.

I like what one person said, trying to leave off the school grounds and not getting busted by fuzzy. I always felt it was such an accomplishment. It's the small things in life that you remember.
