Jim Eckles - (November 30, 1941 - July 6, 2020)

James M. Eckles of Webster Groves was the beloved husband of Janet Chandler Eckles; loving son of the late Howard Walker Eckles and Emilie B. Eckles; dearest father of Amy (Michael) Dyott and Jon “Jay” Eckles; dear grandfather of Kara and Parker Dyott; dear brother of the late David H. Eckles. Peepaw Jim was cherished by the love of the Van family and treasured by many dear friends. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Jim Eckles passed away this afternoon from pancreatic cancer.  He wasn't feeling well and went to see his family doctor three weeks ago. An initial check determined it might be pancreatic cancer. Further tests indicated it was Stage 4 (terminal).  He decided not to prolong his life, had hospice support at his home, and died peacefully in his sleep earlier today.
