Joan Niehaus (June 27, 1941 ~ March 31, 2012)

Joan F Niehaus, born in St. Louis to the late Frank and Hilma Niehaus, died at her home in Kirkwood. Surviving Joan is her sister Gail (late John) Jennings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and Joan's best friend and chosen extended family: Renee (late Tom) von Hatten; Goddaughter Jennifer (Matt) Ziemianski; Drew, Ali, and Mikayla Ziemianski; Kristy (Christopher) Kimbrell; Emily, Elia, Lily, and Sera Kimbrell; and Beth, Olivia, and JoJo von Hatten.

Joan, a 1963 graduate of Jewish Hospital School of Nursing, continued her nursing at Jewish Hospital, retiring in 2006 from BJC. Joan's many friends and family will attest to Joan's lifetime love of children, animals, nature, trees, and a recent passion for NFL football.

Services: Visitation Friday, April 6, 4-7:30 p.m. with service at 6:30 p.m., at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road, Kirkwood. In lieu of flowers, donations to the APA appreciated.
