Linda Stampehl Breuer (November 26, 1941 ~ July 17, 2018)

                                      

Linda Breuer, 77 of Kirksville, MO passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday under Hospice care with her family by her side. The daughter of Ernst Stampehl and Erma Nissen, she was born November 26, 1941 in St. Louis, MO. She grew up in Rock Hill, MO and graduated from Webster Groves High School in 1959. On July 8, 1972 she was united in marriage to Casper K. (Jay) Breuer in Calgary Lutheran Church in Brentwood, MO. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2010. Also preceding Linda were her parents and a brother, William Ernst (Bill) Stampehl.

Linda is survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Viola Breuer of Kirksville; her nephew, Tom (Kristen) Breuer of Kirksville; great nephews and nieces, Anna and Keller Breuer of Jackson, MO; Aubri and Isaiah Meinen and Aspen Breuer of Kirksville; and several cousins.

Linda was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where she was an active member serving on several committees and women’s groups. She also attended Truman State University. She enjoyed playing cards, her garden, and especially her precious cat, Cali. She will be missed by her family and friends, which she had many.

Visitation with the family will start at 6:00 p.m. Monday (July 23, 2018) at Faith Lutheran Church with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor David Lukefahr officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Park View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
