Dick Stertz (November 7, 1941 ~ January 17, 2019)

Richard C. (Dick) Stertz of Garland, TX age 77 died at Arden Courts in Richardson, TX from complications of dementia. Born to Art and Ruth Stertz in St. Louis, MO. Graduated from William Jewell College, Liberty, MO in 1963, where he was a member of Kappa Apha Order. He served in the Coast Guard from 1963 to 1969. He married Martha (Ginnie) Standley on May 23, 1964 in Liberty.

Richard was the owner of Micron Industries for 46 years and a member of the Texas Association of Metals Finishers. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ginnie Stertz; his daughters Leslie Pearson of Garland, and Julie Davidson (Steve) and Rachel Smith of Allen, TX; and his brother, Lee Stertz, of St. Louis MO. Survivors include four grandchildren: Ashley, Zachary, Austin, and Nash.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the future.
