Ronald Ray Anderson, age 81, of Saint Louis, Missouri who passed away on Saturday, was the beloved husband of Mary Jo Ziegenfuss Anderson, whom he married on December 2, 1977.

Ron was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War where he proudly served in the US Army after which he joined the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. He received the National Defense Service, Vietnam Service, Vietnam Campaign, and Air Medals during this time.

Ron was an avid and talented photographer as well. A kind and generous gentleman of great character and a sense of humor, he was a dedicated husband. He volunteered at the Museum of Transportation and was a lover of single malt Scotch. He had an adventurous spirit and lived that out through sailing and riding motorcycles. He certainly had a zest for life and was still making plans up until his passing. He had a distinguished career at Reliable Life Insurance Company as their Software Development Engineer and in his personal time, built his own computer and developed software in consultation with Steve Jobs.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society in Ron's memory.
