Graduated from Grinnell College in 1963; Yale Law School 1966; served in US Navy aboard USS TOPEKA from 1967-69; joined St. Louis law firm Lewis, Rice et al from 1969 until retirement 2011 with brief interruption in govt. service in St. Louis County (Lawrence Roos).
Wife Lucyann was a reporter and Editor with St. Louis Globe-Democrat until it was closed by its owner. She then became a Master Gardener and serves as a docent at the Botanical Garden, along with writing garden stories for local magazines, as well as being an active real estate agent with Laura McCarthy Realtors.
We have 3 wonderful grandchildren, all here in St. Louis within 2 miles of us. Our granddaughter will attend Avery School next year--my grade school. Makes me feel both insular and excited.
