Carol Ann Noel (Singleton)

Carol Noel Singleton (October 31, 1941 ~ November 2, 2021)

Sadly, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Noel Singleton of Sedalia, CO. She was born in Battle Creek, MI, the daughter of Louis E. and Doris M. Ewing Noel. She married Warren G. Singleton on December 23, 1967. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2017. Carol turned 80 on October 31 and she died peacefully two nights later. Her family was by her side all day so she left knowing that she was fully and truly loved.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Warren G. Singleton, her sons Dan and David, her grandchildren Lilly, Daphne and Henry Singleton, and daughters in law Julia Singleton and Michelle Mock. Carol’s brother is Jim Noel and wife Cindy Noel, their children and grandchildren Jason and Renee Noel, Kathryn and Jack; Jenny Noel Dobbs and Ben Dobbs, Ellie, Molly, Annie and Tate, including her brother in laws and sister in laws, Vern and Vera Lewis, Unityville, Pa, Fred and Jayne Singleton, Defiance, MO, and Dwight and Mary Singleton, Hazelwood, MO. Carol was predeceased by her father, Louis Noel, mother Doris Noel, and brother Allen Noel.

The family moved to Webster Groves, MO while Carol was in elementary school. She joined the Webster Groves Presbyterian Church in April, 1954. Carol graduated from Webster Groves High School in 1959. She got her degree in Physical Education from the University of Missouri in 1963.

Carol worked as a Physical Education teacher in St. Louis, a Registrar in Douglas County, CO, and served the Special Education students with gusto. She led them on ski trips and other experiences they may have never had the opportunity to do. Carol was a diehard St. Louis Cardinals fan as she grew up in the St. Louis area, where she leaves behind many dear friends and family. She was a devoted, involved mother who didn’t miss a hockey game and was surely the loudest in the crowd. Carol and Warren traveled the country in their RV and loved hiking, kayaking, and biking. They shared many trips with close friends. Carol will be deeply missed and will forever hold a very special place in all of our hearts.

The family was blessed by the caring leadership and special caregivers at Brookdale Highlands Ranch charged with Carol’s care these last two years. Their kindness and love was evidenced every day to all residents.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the caregiver staff for their Holiday Appreciation Fund. If you wish to contribute, make your checks payable to “Holiday Fund c/o Brookdale Highlands Ranch” and mail to Brookdale Highlands Ranch, 9160 S University, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126.
