LeeVersia Turner

Lee Turner (February 28, 1939 - February 28, 2019)

LeeVersia received her homecoming on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Born in Prescott, Arkansas to Isiah and Dora Turner who preceded her in death. LeeVersia was the first of five children; the second born James Isiah preceded her in death. The family moved to Webster Groves, in 1952, where she attended Douglass Elementary and Webster Groves High School.

Lee worked as a CNA at a nursing facility and also a domestic worker. LeeVersia professed her faith in Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church of Webster Groves. She enjoyed working out of doors in the flower gardens and was most proud of her ability to successfully pollinate her peonies that created some very beautiful colors; she loved cutting and displaying them on the dining room table. (Dad’s green thumb)

Lee leaves to cherish her memories her three sisters, Mary Turner McNeair (husband Roosevelt preceded her in death), Ida L. Turner, and Carolyn Turner Scott (Earl); sister-in-law Loretta Turner; cousin Martha Turner; niece Johnna Cooper; four nephews: Christopher and Phillip Cook, Bryant Turner, and Aaron Turner; great-niece Mercedes; great-nephew Zachary; and a host of friends.

LeeVersia is buried at St. Paul Churchyard, 7600 South Rock Hill Road, Affton, MO.
