OK, well I have read this forum and know most of the names, but I was in the office most of the time in HS and did not run with your crowd so most do not know me, (I think). So I would have been appointed the least likely to succeed. Who would have guessed I would end up living back here and being an activist of sorts regarding some of our local issues. I would like to pose one question to all of you. Please do not take this the wrong way or anything. It is not a slam just a question. If I did know you or hang with you in HS and those that I did know could have cared less why would I go to a reunion to see people again. I am not saying everyone in our class was like that, but uhm... quite a dew. I was not popular, prep, in the "cool crowd", I could have cared less about wearing the right clothes just so I wouldn't "just die" if my friends saw me. I did play soccer, ran CC 1 year (hated that) but for the most part well I was the polar opposite. From the looks of this forum, if I remember correctly most of you all hung around together. We were not on each others radar. So walking into a room 20 years later to faces that I don't really know and don't know me from Adam? Really? OK so that's the question. Again, please don't take offense to this. Just an outsiders perspective to this reunion. I did have a lot of fun in HS and sure there are some I would love to see again. By the way whoever put the class pic from Decorah Mrs. King 5th grade up, wow, thanks thanks a lot. Nice goofy and humiliating picture. LOL Respectfully, Kristina Smithers East 89 PS: I am still deciding if I am going to go. I do believe in the art of change and growth. That 20 years later people have changed. I know I have. I do find it interesting to hear all of your stores from HS. All the care accidents you have all had. Can I just add that going over the tracks on Paradise was not the place for the thrill or air time. My friends and I used to go to the back roads around Ridge Run to the "roller coaster" air there was always guarenteed. Or driving on Paradise towards Cedar Lake Home where the woad really starts to narrow and curve around. Hitting it about 55 and turning the lights out all the way to what is it HWY Z? Don't try it now. We are too old and too wise for that now. Just don't tell you kids...
