I think the Reunion Committee made a smart decision by changing the date. I hope more people will be able to come on the new date. I have a theory that these reunions provide a chance to keep in touch with people who knew us before we were the person we grew up to be. Think about the things you used to talk about with your best friend in high school. I’ll bet there are few people in your life today with whom you share that much and very few people who know you as well. There must be at least one person you were close to back then who you’ve wondered about over the years. This may be the chance to find out how their life turned out. I have always said the class of 1965 was special. Maybe it was the turmoil of the years in which we came of age – the Viet Nam war, the Civil Rights movement, Women’s rights. We had an amazing turnout for our 50th reunion and I promise this will be another very memorable event. We've chosen a gorgeous venue for both the Meet-and-Greet cocktail party and the dinner. We've tried to keep the price down and will be doing some research on places to stay in the area that are reasonable. We will be posting a lot of activities and some of you may want to gather a group of old friends to do some of those excursions. Unfortunately, as Susie mentioned in the notice, this may be the last time many of us are able to make this kind of trip. If you know anyone who does not log onto this website please tell them about it. If they can’t or don’t want to log on to the website they can contact Dave Brusby, our website guru, and he can get them the information on making a reservation. Let’s make it a great one!

As a matter of full disclosure, I am feeling a little guilty with all the accolades about how much work the committee did. We all enjoyed every minute of it. During the past year, we created a special friendship that we will continue long after last weekend. Working with this group was so easy. Each member brought a unique talent which made dividing the work simple and seamless. Susie was amazing with her detail-oriented reports so we knew where we were every step of the way. We made meetings fun by ending with a group dinner. Our spouses got involved just by being there. Because I live in Arizona, I had originally planned to Skype in to most of the meetings. But they were such a blast, I didn't want to miss a single one so traveled to be there. I feel a little guilty taking credit for work that was really so much fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I wish all of you could have shared this amazing experience.
