Comments:
After Kenny and I married in 1971, we lived in Starkville and West Point while we continued school at MSU. In Jan. 1974, we moved to Ala. for Kenny to take a job with an agricultural firm. While in Ala. we lived in 4 different places (all small towns) and had all 3 girls while living in Ala. I finished college at the Univ. of Ala. while we were living in Moundville and we moved back to West Point in 1981. I started teaching that fall at 5th St., got my Masters in 1990 and became a school counselor at the Voc. Center. In 1995 I became the counselor at the high school and was there until 2006. At that time made a big change and went down to East Side to the kindergarten and have loved it. I am retiring on June 30 after 29 years with the West Point School District.
We have done a lot of traveling through the years both here in the U.S. and have had the opportunity to go to Europe a few times. While I plan to work part time for a couple of years, I am looking forward to having more time off so I can visit family and friends more.
