PATRICIA GARRETT Mason

Married in March 1968, couldn't wait to Mr. James Edward Mason Jr. Withdrew from Wheaton high and finished my senior year at Edison High in Alexandria, Va.. Credits were transferred to Wheaton High. Unfortunately, didn't graduate with class but made a special trip to receive my diploma from the Principle. So glad I made the effort. Attended 10th and 30 year reunions. Am a widow now as my husband James passed away on October 10th 2008. We were married 40 years. I am single and loving my independence. I have had many health issues to overcome but with the grace of God I am back in the game of life. Life is good and I continue to smile and not let the small stuff get in my way..

My goal in attending Wheaton high was to take Cosmetology and become a hairdresser. After I withdrew from Wheaton in March of 68 I made sure I could continue on with my beauty course at the school in Virginia where I was relocating. It was a blessing Edison High offered Cosmetology. I finally finished and took my state boards in Richmond VA. I received my license in March 1971. I kept my license renewed every year. I became an entrepreneur in the field and owned and operated my own beauty business going into the homes of the sick and elderly. It was most satisfying and proved to be very lucrative to my financial status. However, change is always a given in life, so I have chosen to put my comb and scissors to rest. I have no regrets only great memories of how I made a difference in someone's life.. It has been an unforgettable journey. I now wish to reinvent myself and turn the pages to another chapter. A book is waiting to be written. WHAT?
