It is very easy to find off of I-30. For those of you coming 287, be prepared for major construction when you merge on to I-35 South.

I am still planning to make the meeting tomorrow, hope it is still on. The roads in the Dallas area are pretty good with the exception of a few overpasses and those should be cleared by today (Thursday 12/12).

Like I tell my daughter..."pick up the same thing that you text with.....look up the number....hit dial number, you don't even have to type anything in". Now if you are old school.....pick up that telephone "thingie", listen for the dial tone, put on your reading glasses, push the buttons that start with 972....., LOL!!! See you this afternoon.

The Reunion Committee had a great meeting! Ron Davidson, Ron Granberry, Fonda Alvey McMillen, Carol Horkey Cox, Sandra Harrison Boynton and I attended. As you all know the date for the 50th is October 10-12, 2014. "Save The Date" cards will be sent out after the first of the year (but you can go ahead and mark it on your 2014 calendar) and registration forms will be mailed in the spring. We have definitely decided on the Courtyard by Marriott on Lawrence Road as the host hotel. The venue for the dinner on Saturday evening will be decided in the near future.

Ron Davidson is heading up our golf group on Saturday morning. We think tee time will be 8:30 a.m. at Weeks Park.

Everything is coming together nicely and we hope you all are as enthusiastic about attending as we are in planning. We have enjoyed renewing old acquaintances. We hope everyone will plan to attend!

To: The Planning Committee

I opened a checking account today but was unable to name it as we wanted "Rider High School Class of 1964" as that would have required tax information from Rider High School which I figured they would not want to give us. I named the account RHS Reunion Class of 1964 and it should be in place in the next day or so. We will be able to pay bills online, write checks, and we should be able to use the web site to take in registrations and credit card payments using their services as we discussed in the meeting. As soon as the account is set up, I will send out another message.

I just found a place that prints the cards on glossy thick post cards at cheaper than I can buy the Avery post cards. Think I will go that route.

I have found, over the years, that Avery is mostly at the top of the price range so please use your good judgement and do the right thing. Go for it!

Vista Print is proabably the cheapest and has choices in grade of paper. They are also quick.

Thank you Mary. By the time I was finished they weren't particularly cheap, but they will look nice and weren't that much. They are printed on both sides and very colorful.

Ronnie graciously agreed to postpone our meeting in WF tomorrow, 1/6, to look for venues for our dinner/dance as part of our 50th. It's back to the doc for me and it's good news - no hospital! Bronchitis is much better - not completely over it but certainly better. Ronnie has a busy month but I suggested he make the appointments necessary for us and I'll make myself available to him. Hopefully we'll have all venues decided within the next month or so.
