Donna and I are meeting on Thursday to visit 2 or 3 of the venues for the Dinner/Dance for our Saturday evening event.  We will go by Weeks Park to lock in that event and may go by the Hotel to see if we can get them to offer any "freebies".  I have the checking account in place and have placed funds in the account so we are ready to go.  All we need now is attendees.  Thanks to all who have done a lot of work on the Committee do date, particularly to Ronnie and Sandra for their efforts on the database.  I'm sorry if I forgot anyone's efforts but the event is starting to come together.

I believe we set the meeting for Feb 19 Wed, I think time and place are still not final but 1 at Fonda's was discussed.

I didn't know the date for the meeting had been changed since I wasn't able to take part in the conference call.  I received an email from Fonda this morning saying she had volunteered for it to be at her house on the 19th but now she is scheduled to work so she won't be able to have it there or attend.  If you still want to have it in Arlington, we can do it at my house if Fonda can't have it at hers.  Just let me know what date works for everyone.

Wed the 19th doesn't work for me either, but I don't really have to be at the meeting, so pick whatever works for everyone else.  Can't remeber why it was changed from the 28th.

I think that we changed the dates due to my vacation starting on the 22nd of February.  I have always wondered how you have a vacation from retirement anyway.....??  If you need to have the meeting on the 28th while I am gone, please do so as Donna is familiar with just about everything that we have booked at this time.

We have booked the Maskat Shrine and placed the deposit.

We have booked the Marriott and placed the deposit for the Friday night function.  I will make reservations for the Hospitalitty Suite this next week for Friday and Saturday nights.

We still need to decide on a caterer, DJ, decorater, and individuals to host the Hospitality Suite.  Other than that, we are moving along quite nicely.

For whatever reason my email account at home has been on-again, off-again.  I've received numerous Facebook Friend requests and was able to respond to some of them before I started having trouble but only a few.....hope the others aren't feeling like I'm ignoring them!.

My profile lists my work email address as best contact.  I plan on attending the Reunion so please send all correspondence to work as I don't want to miss any announcements.

27 August Update :  The location of the Friday night (7-11) meet and greet has been changed from the meeting room of the Courtyard hotel to Fuzzy's Taco Shop at  2611 Plaza Parkway, Suite #305, in Century Plaza, next to Sikes Center Mall.

For those who haven't registered for the reunion yet :

Please register by noon Tuesday, Sept 16.  T-shirt order MUST be placed in order to get them before the reunion.

Anyone registering after noon tomorrow will NOT get a T-shirt in their goody bag.  The registration price will be adjusted slightly.

We still need all registrations completed soon in order to give the dinner caterers a good count.
