In Memory

H. David Buss

This is from David's sister, Sandy Gunn:

David (Henry David Buss) passed away on April (Friday) 13, 2018 in Houston, Texas where he has been living for the last few years.

He had a massive heart attack Wednesday, April 4th, called an ambulance and was taken to St. Luke’s cardiac unit. He was sedated for intubation and to help his heart handle the shock. His wife, Dixie Buss of Kansas City and daughter Diana Buss Hartzler arrived Friday.  I arrived from Ontario, California the following day. We visited him several times daily although the doctors needed to keep him sedated so he never regained consciousness.

On Friday, April 13th the doctors called us to the hospital to explain and show us X-rays of the irreparable damage to his heart and lungs. At 2:30 that afternoon the life support systems were removed. We three stayed with him until he passed peacefully.

He is survived by his wife, Dixie Buss of Lenexa, Kansas, daughter, Diana Carol Hartzler, Kansas City and his grandson Calvin Crooks (age 21), as well myself.

Condolences may be sent to me (sister), Sandy Gunn, sandygunn411@gmail.com, 611 W El Morado Ct, Ontario, CA 91762 or daughter Diana Hartzler, cheese1007@sbcglobal.net. Diana and Travis are currently in transit in their RV and do not have a snail mail address.

David is preceded in death by both parents, Henry Wilson Buss of Udall and Margarette Gertrude (Garrison) Buss of Winfield.
