Eva Jeanene Hollis, 66, of Guymon passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her home in Guymon.

The daughter of David Franklin and Velma Eva (Dibbens) Neff, she was born September 10, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas. She was raised in Wichita, graduating from Wichita North High School with the Class of 1962.

Eva and Alvin Ray Hollis were united in marriage on November 5, 1966 in Baxter Springs, Kansas.

The Hollis family moved to Guymon in 1994 from Follett, Texas. Eva was a devoted homemaker and also had worked as a secretary. She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: David and Martin Leroy Neff.

Survivors include her husband, Alvin Hollis of the home; one son, VanAl Hollis and wife, Dani of Rocky Ford, Colorado; one daughter, Kandi Chesnut and husband, Scott of Guymon; four grandchildren: Chelsea, Kavan, Dakota and Hadleigh, with another on the way; one sister, Edna Freeman and husband, Walker of Whitney, Texas and one sister-in-law, Thelma Neff of Spring, Texas.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, September 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at the Guymon Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Steve Lehew and Rev. Fred Huff officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Apostolic Faith Bible College, PO Box 110, Baxter Springs, Kansas 66713.
