Phoenix, Arizona - Richard Anthony Santiago departed from this earth on January 23, 2022. Tony was born in Wichita, KS on September 2, 1944 where he was a student at Our Lady of Perpetual Help before attending Kapaun and Wichita North High Schools. He was born to Mary and Merced "Shorty" Zamorano who preceded him in death and was the youngest of their four sons. Tony was the last surviving brother of Joseph M. Minjares, Charles E. Santiago and Stephen H. Santiago.
He passed away peacefully in Phoenix, AZ where he had resided for the last 44 years. He is survived by his wife Lila Santiago who he was happily married to for more than 24 years; his four sons, Michael Charles (Sandi), Joseph Robert, David Stephen, and Richard Anthony (Kendra); his eight grandchildren, Jordan Bachman, Lauren Hamel, Kayla Kelly (Joey), Brandon Larkin, Bailey Bryant, Summer Jackson (Marquiese), Kiersten Larkin, and Katie Larkin.
He has 7 beautiful great-grandchildren that will grow up with memories and photographs anticipating our stories of their Grandpa Tony.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Tony at Minisa Park Community Center in Wichita, KS. this Saturday, May 14, 2022 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
