For the first few years after my first marriage, I spent most of my time as a stay at home mom and loved it.

I've had quite a few different and unlikely occupations over the years, the oddest of all, for me at least, was learning to drive a tractor trailer, acquiring a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and traveling for more than a decade all over this country and Canada as a team partner with my (then) husband.

The occupation I enjoyed the most, however, which I would have still been doing if a marital issue hadn't intervened, was working at a major Chemical Company as an assistant to the scientists in the Ag department.

I wasn't at Upper Moreland very long. Only came in halfway through our junior year. That limited my opportunities as far as getting to know many of my classmates, but those of you with whom I developed a connection, still hold a place within my cherished memories, even 50 years later.

Being in a public school was culture shock to me. I'd grown up in Bryn Athyn and attended the Academy since kindergarten. The new class of '61 in UMHS was welcoming and friendly and I have only happy memories of all of you.
