Karl Jeffrey Hanson, 70, of Glenview, passed away March 30, 2022.

He was the beloved husband of 34 years of Lisa Hanson née Rogoski; loving father of Julie and Paige Hanson; dear brother of Thomas (Gabrielle) Hanson; fond uncle of several nieces and a nephew; cherished son of the late Dorothy Hanson and Signe Hanson. 

Karl was a structural engineer in Chicago for over 40 years. Since 1980, he helped design buildings and bridges throughout the country. He also wrote structural engineering computer software. Karl was an avid reader and life long learner. His other hobbies included playing the piano, learning German and riding his bicycle. He was the author of The Third Thaw trilogy.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11 am at St. David's Episcopal Church, 2410 Glenview Road, Glenview.
