SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2022 RENEWING MEMBERS:
The BONS Executive Board has unanimously voted not to collect membership dues for the upcoming 2022 year because we have not been able to meet in person for the year due to the coronavirus. If you are currently a member in good standing (that is, you paid your single or family membership dues for 2020), your membership is extended until December 31, 2022. Any new or returning member (after a hiatus) joining after January 1, 2022 will be assessed $15.00 dues. FYI: membership fees are included in the 2022 new student fee. If you have any questions, contact membership committee.

Thank you for joining or renewing your membership with BONS! If you are a new beekeeper as of this past spring and attended the Beginner Beekeeping Classes provided by BONS, you do not need to renew. Your class fee has covered your first fiscal year of dues for BONS (January 1st – December 31st).
Dues:
The cost is $15.00 per family per year.
BONS membership includes:
• Purchase bee packages or nucs through the club
•Purchase woodenware and foundation through the club
• Use of the club’s honey extractor to extract your honey
• Monthly meetings - guest speakers/presenters at meetings
• Sell your honey at our local events
• Club newsletters
If you wish, to join the VSBA (Virginia State Beekeepers Association). please download and print a VSBA Applicatin from the VSBA website. Mail completed application with your membership dues to the address indicated on their form Included in your VSBA’s membership is research and lobbying efforts to help resolve the plight of the honeybees. You also can attend the twice a year state meetings which has its own registration fees.
