The people who serve on the executive committee and/or hold committee positions are volunteers. They donate their time and talents to the club.

 

CURRENT LEADERSHIP 

  

 Bruce Bryant  - President 
Retired to the Shenandoah Valley from Philadelphia 7 years ago and realized immediately what a wise decision that was. Soon after arriving I stumbled on an ad for beekeeping classes given by BONS and the rest is history. This history includes my wife and son and on 8 acres my bees, alpacas, mini pigs, goats and an occasional garden.
 Tim Riggleman -Vice President 
IT Professional with Valley Health.  Married to Kristi, and they have two adult children Drew and Kaylie.  Both children enjoy learning and working in the apiary with Dad.  Lifelong resident of Virginia.  Member of BONS for the last two years, who enjoys learning, teaching and mentoring to new beekeepers and the community.  Started with two colonies and has now grown to five.  Tim loves everything about beekeeping and is always willing to talk to others and promote this amazing hobby.  Tim has been successful in holding several leadership positions in other volunteer organizations.

Kelly Hoynoski   - Secretary, Bee Package Coordinator & Libarian
Born in upstate New York and moved to Northern Virginia in 1990 and settled in Front Royal in 1996. Kelly lives with her husband and son an a small plot. She has been a Registered Nurse for 34 years and was a Registered Echocatdiologist for 25 years. She's currently a School Nurse.
Kelly is in her 5th year as a beekeeper and enjoys using her hive products to make soaps, lotions, balms and candles. Other interests include cooking, gardening, raising chickens, spinning animal fibers, and listening to live music. She volunteers on a regular basis working with people who have visual impairments for an organization known as N.O.A.H. The National Organization of Albinism and Hypipigmentation.

 

Paul Peters - We mourn the loss of Paul who passed away Novmber 7, 2021    Membership Coordinator & Webmaster
Moved to Winchester 2008 from Loudoun County. 
Dental laboratory owner for 36 years, now retired
Wife: Dr. Jill Peters - retired hgh school environmental science teacher and science department chairman  Jill served as a past BONS treasurer. They have 3 adult children and 14 grandchildren.
Both Jill and Paul are life-long Virginia residents.
Hobbies include beekeeping, web design, woodworking, and gardening
