Obituary:Joe Stambaugh

Joseph Sterling Stambaugh, age 75, Winchester, VA, died at home on August 1, 2017.

Born December 7, 1941, in York, PA, he was the son of the late Sterling and Leah Stambaugh.

 Joe graduated from Spring Grove High School, Spring Grove, PA, attended Eastern Mennonite University and DeVry Technical Institute. He was employed by IBM as a Customer Service Engineer for 35 years. He was also a member of Beekeepers Of Northern Shenandoah and of Christian Motorcyclists Association serving as road captain. Tending his bees, riding his BMW, and working in his workshop brought him great joy in his retirement. Joe was a member of Grace Community Church in Winchester and a member of Community of Faith Brethren in Christ Church, Roanoke, VA.

 Joe is survived by his wife, Naomi E. Stambaugh, whom he married on December 24, 1965 at the Grantham Brethren in Christ Church, Grantham, PA. In addition to his wife, Mr. Stambaugh is survived by his sons, Merlin and Myron of Winchester and Merris (Stephanie) of Collinsville, VA ; nine grandchildren: David, Wesley, Samuel, Dnae, Sara, Leah, Joseph, Sophia, and Isaac; a brother Carlton (Arlene) ,a sister Connie, and 15 nieces and nephews.
