I've been a sportscaster my entire career since graduating from college. That includes stops in Reno, Springfield, IL, Harrisburg, PA, and the last twenty years in San Diego with NBC.

I've been the play by play voice in football and basketball for the University of Nevada, San Diego State, and the University of San Diego.

I've been able to cover Penn State football through two national championships. The St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres in the World Series. The San Diego Chargers in the Super Bowl. The Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA Finals. The Philadelphia Flyers in the Stanley Cup Finals. The U.S. Open four different times, the latest being at Torrey Pines in 2008. I've also worked for NBC Newschannel in covering the Olympic Track and Field Trials three times.

Jill and I met at the University of Missouri, and were quite proud to see our daughter graduate from Mizzou in 2001. Mindy was married to Kevin Tappan in August of 2008. Our son Zach graduated from San Francisco State.

I enjoyed my entire experience at New Trier East. From calling games for WNTH FM to being a manager of the basketball team.

The education I received allowed me to enroll, and get a degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

Probably my favorite memory was just meeting Jim Hirsch. He became, and still is my best friend. He was best man in our wedding.
