After leaving New Trier West I spent four years at the University of Illinois and then 4 years in Mexico at the National Autonomous University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry. (1975 - 1979)
I practiced in Miami from 1980-2001 where I met my wife Dra. Rosi Cedeno.
I am also a former Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami's School of Medicine.(research surgeon)
During my forty three year career I have served as President of the South Florida and Lake County Veterinary Medical Associations and as Executive Secretary for three national veterinary associations, including the prestigious Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. For ten years I chaired the Animal Care Committee of the Miami Heart Institute, and am a member of "Who's Who in Veterinary Medicine."
I live in Florida with my wife and two children. My first western novel Trail Hand was an Amazon best seller. I also am the author of the family holiday novel A Very Shiny Nose. My other seven novels are available on Amazon,
I am also a 8th dan grandmaster ranked martial artist in Hapkido and a Master 4th dan in Y and a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon do) . I continue to horseback ride and target shoot when time and weather permit.

The friendships I made with classmates.

My favorite memories include the time it snowed so much you could jump off the roof into the snowbanks and the time the senior class dumped hundreds of tires all over the courtyard.

I also remember the senior class train trip to the PLAYBOY CLUB.
