Favorite School Memories:
Home room advisor Evan Ellis, prior to the daily rundown of disciplinary actions: "And now for the wayward, errant, and recalcitrant, those boys suspected of running afoul of the school rules..."
Frau Moskos, a fine German teacher in the early years of her career and a stunning Teutonic beauty who rendered certain male adolescent students tongue-tied....
One of our female classmates (whose name escapes me; Dee somebody?), who made a presentation in, perhaps, social studies class, to the effect that women should have equal access to all employment opportunities. Sharon Ray Bush, an English teacher who's unabashed and unpretentious love for the written word in all its forms has affected me for life....
and finally the philosophy teacher - Sears? Swears? - who started her first class our senior year, who treated us as sentient beings (as opposed to hormone-addled teenagers), and who expected us to think and express ourselves accordingly. I'm still trying to meet those expectations....
