Dennis was my riding partner and we rode the same make and model bikes...mine was black and his was red....Honda 305 Super Hawks. The accident happened on the evening of December 19, 1969 and Dennis passed in the early morning of December 20, 1969. Doug came home with me from the hospital in Beaumont and stayed the night until his mom came and picked him up. We lost a VERY crazy and good friend when we lost Dennis. I've thought a lot over the years of who he would have grown up to be. I'll always miss him.
Dennis and my big brother John Smith were friends when I was growing up.I was only 8 when Denny passed away. I was named for him at his request. Would have liked to have known him as I grew up. I do remember some about his bike, would like if you have any pictures to bring to reunion. Lori Ann "Denise" Smith-Evans.
That had to be the saddest Christmas I have ever known. Man he was a good friend. He lived next door to Guy and Dicky and we always had a blast. I remember the day like it was yesterday. Rest in Peace my friend.
