When we were little, I called Kaye my "Hayley Mills" friend.  She was fun, spirited and adventuresome.  She had blonde hair that would illuminate in the bright Texas sun and skin that would turn hot pink if she was outside too long.  She loved to read a book more than anything in the world at that time in her life.  I will miss her very dry sense of humor and the way she loved life.
