WyHi Stark County Community Center

Mission Statement

It is the mision of the WyHi Stark County Community Center organization to raise funds in order to obtain, restore and operate the former Wyoming Community High School building as a community center for the benefit of the citizens of Stark County by making it available to groups and organizations for meetings, gatherings and as a place to engage citizens in learning, recreational activities and socializing.

The former Wyoming High School Building was last used by the school district in 2006.  It is a good building and it can be put to many good uses.  Imagine a place where you may find an afternoon card game, a wedding reception, excersize facilities.  It could be a place where young people learn new skills like karate or tumbling.  A gathering center for those that just want to have a relaxing afternoon with old friends.  Can you see a restored stage that provides community plays and brings music shows to entertain us.

All of this and much more is possible.  While the building itself is in good shape, it is going to take some effort to spruce up the inside, make it usable and purchase basic items to replace what was removed (sinks, etc).  Will you help make this a reality?  Tax deductible donations can be mailed to:
