Stark County

The Stark County Education Foundation was established in 2002 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization to enhance the educational opportunities for the students of Stark County District #100. 

There are three main areas that the foundation offers support. 

• Teacher Grants are provided annually to teachers to fund innovative projects that enhance students learning and that may not be able to be funded from the normal school budget.
• Scholarships to graduating seniors.  We not only provide scholarships directly from the Foundation, but we also coordinate with individuals, businesses and organizations to make it easy for them to provide scholarships.  We also have endowed scholarships that we manage from people that have left funds to the Foundation through their estates, memorials and donations.
• Financial Assistance is available to purchase school supplies or pay fees for students that may be in need and who may not be able to participate fully without financial help.

Due to the generous support of donors, since 2002 we have been able to provide:

• $18,500 in scholarships from the foundation
• $15,433 in grants to teachers for special classroom projects
• $  2,475 in student assistance

We have also managed named scholarships that donors have set up through the Foundation, that has provided over $$27,575 in scholarships since 2002.

We hold fundraisers throughout the year and hope that you'll keep an eye out for them and participate when you can.

We are proud of the fact that our operating costs are kept very low because of an active volunteer board.
