Reidar Nettleship

Wow so much has happened since high school. Spent a long time being a bachelor while living in Los Angeles with a short stint in New York City, didn’t get married until I was 33. Spent a few more years just enjoying my wife still living in Los Angeles. When it came time to start having children we decided that Los Angeles wasn’t a very good place to raise children. Guess what I ended up back in Yakima, well almost I now live in Selah because we felt it was the best place to raise a family. We have 3 amazing children now, Kaelan 10, Fiona 8 and Jackson 6 years old.

My second child, Fiona was born with a very serious heart condition requiring two open heart surgeries by the time she was 5 months old. She spent almost her entire first year in the hospital, eight months of that in ICU’s. If you saw her now you would never believe that it had happened.

Since Graduation (which seems like a million years ago) I have done so many different things, worked on Wall Street (was there for the crash of 87), became a licensed massage therapist, had a systems integration company, had an internet start up company in 2000 that failed miserably (good timing on my part don’t you think), Real Estate developer and now currently in the medical industry while working on cosmetics company (yes you read right, check back with me in a year or so to see how successful this venture is). (Update it didn't pan out, although many people loved the product I did NOT know this industry well enough).

When I first moved back to Yakima I spent most of my time at my home office or travelling throughout North America educating Doctors and Nurses on products for Lymphedema and Wound Healing. I don’t get out much in public these days other than to pursue my passion that I have had since high school, Golf! I finally got my first hole in one this year, it only took me 36 years to get. I must say I did it in fashion though, getting it on a 262-yard par 4! My oldest son Kaelan needed only 2 years to get his first hole in one, getting his just a few months after his dad and he is only 10.

Update November 2019: I moved away from Selah back to Southern California to be with the Love of my life Collette. I try to get up to visit friends and Family as often as possible.

I will never forget the golf team senior year, we won the first invational of the year at the Tri Cities Country Club (23 team event). Us playing "We Are The Champions" by Queen the entire trip back to Yakima while we were all singing along. As we were singing Steve Stock and I kept putting straws into Doug Hearron's hair and he never knew (in case you have forgotten Doug had quite the hair). He had to have at least 30 straws in his hair by the time we were done.
