High school wasn't easy for me because I was pretty shy. I stayed pretty much to myself and tried to fade into the woodwork. Having a brother who graduated the year before me (Ken) and a brother who was a year behind me (Randy) helped a bit because I knew some of their friends. I also
have a younger brother (Rich) but he graduated years behind the three of us.
I didn't really know what I wanted to do for a career, so the first few years I just worked and ended up going to Trend Business College. After
that I spent many years working at the Catholic Credit Union here in Yakima. In 1986, while working at the credit union, I started dating my husband Jim. He is a Davis graduate (1982). Yes,
I married a younger man. We married August 8th,1987. Our daughter, Kaitlin was born the following August (1988) and our son, Brad was born August (1990).
We currently have plans to move to the tri-cities this next summer. Jim has been commuting for the past two and a half years (he now works at Energy Northwest - a Nuclear Power Plant). We have waited until now so that our son Brad could finish out his senior year here at West Valley and graduate with his classmates. He is a catcher for the Rams and is already counting the days until baseball starts again. He is unsure about where he would like to attend college. Our daughter is currently attending YVCC. She plans on relocating also.
It is great to read about what everyone has been doing for the past 30 years. I can't even believe
that much time has past.
