Judy Benton Otis

After graduation I attended college in Oneonta, NY where I received both my bachelor and master degree. I taught high school English in South Kortright, NY, Sydney, Australia and then here in Jacksonville, after our girls were born. My last twenty years were spent in elementary guidance. I met my husband, Jim, while teaching in NY. He retired from education after teaching math and science. He also spent a few years selling hardware. Our girls, Kendra and Amanda are both presently living and working in Baltimore, MD after both completed their degrees. Kendra went to school in FLorida and graduated from both UF and FSU. Amanda went to school in Maryland at UMBC.

I did buy a bathing suit that day when a few of us skipped school.

I also remember alarm clocks in the lockers. The administration pulled a fire alarm on us so we missed them going off.
