Although I moved to Ruston, Louisiana in March of my Sophomore year, I always knew that somehow I would live in Zachary because I loved the town and its people. That became true in April of 1975. Kathy and I have two wonderful kids and a great Son and Daughter-in-Law. We are blessed with four grandchildren and all of the above live in Zachary. We all attend First Baptist Church.

I graduated from Ruston High School and attended Louisiana Tech on an athletic (baseball) scholarship where I graduated in 1972. I taught school at Webster High School in Minden, La. for a short time before going to work for the State Health Department in Baton Rouge. From ther I began working for the Office of Environmental Affairs which ultimately became the State of Louisiana Department of Envirmentalal Quality. After eleven years with the State, I went into private Environmental Consulting with major industrial Clients in Louisiana and on occasion other States. My last seventeen years of consulting were exclusively with Exxonmobil Chemical.
