726 MASS Formed: 1994 (1995?)

2005 - Deactivated and the base was given back to Germany.

69th Air Base Group; 726th MAS

The726 MASS was then tranferred to Ramstein AB, Germany

No the base didn't close in 92, the change was that the base went to USAFE (C-130s) and so the new Command AMC (formerly MAC) needed to create a new tenant Airlift Group, which became the 362nd ALG and that's how the Enroute became it's own separate squadron along with the C9 maintainers and FSS Supply personal. The C9s would leave for Ramstein the following year in 93 and the year after that the C-130s also went over to Ramstein. In July 1994 the 362nd MXS was inactivated downsized and became a Flight under the 362nd ALG and eventually the 362nd ALG was downsized inactivated and became the 726 MASS How the base evolved after that till it closed 10 years later. I really don't know those details.
