Chief Pursley was a people person and truly loved his people assigned to the 435th OMS Enroute Section and the Air Force. Chief Pursley is missed by all. A true Enrouter.
Ms. Pursley is unable to attend 2009 Reunion and would like for everyone to make a toast to Chief in his honor. (This will be our honor making a toast on his behalf).
CHIEF PURSLEY had an ENROUTE nick name (Elmer Fudd). Don't let the nick name fool you, CHIEF PURSLEY was by definition - a USAF PROFESSIONAL and an OUTSTANDING example of the rank of CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT. He was the only Branch chief during my stay at Enroute who was well liked by everyone. I miss him.-----FIG
I worked for Chief Pursley when he was in charge of Maintenance Control. It was great working for him, he was a true professional. He picked up my family and myself at the airport when we first arrived at Rhein Main December 29th 1978. Thank You Ed. Bob
